About Pickleorium

Pickleorium is a friendly coach's lab. We use clean court diagrams, plain words and a cartoon mascot named Ernie to show why a rule, a shot or a habit works.

Four rules we keep

  • One look everywhere

Videos, articles and this site share the same colours, shapes and drawing style, so you always know where you are.

  • Plain words, rules-accurate, no hype

Short sentences. Every rule matches the rulebook. We never promise miracles.

  • Every lesson ends on a rule

One Lab rule you can take to the court and say out loud.

  • Every picture is drawn in code

That means anything can be fixed. If a line is in the wrong place, we change one number and draw it again.

How a lesson is made

  1. Idea

We start with one question players really ask. For example: why can't the server rush the net?

  2. Script

Short sentences, one point each. If a sentence needs two breaths, we split it.

  3. Rules check

Every rule claim is checked against the current USA Pickleball rulebook.

  4. Animate

The lesson is drawn from above in code, so you can see where everyone stands.

  5. Quality check

An automated check for accuracy, originality and platform rules runs before anything posts.

  6. Post

YouTube first, then Shorts, Reels and TikTok.

Every lesson is checked against the current USA Pickleball rulebook before it posts. Pickleorium isn't affiliated with USA Pickleball.

The voice

We write the way a friendly coach talks. Here is what that sounds like, and what it doesn't.

Examples of how we write, and how we don't
We say We don't say
The kitchen runs 7 feet from the net on both sides. This one secret will fix your game!
Let the serve bounce. Let the return bounce. Now you can volley. Pros hate this trick.
You can't volley while touching the kitchen. The line counts too. Guaranteed to win you more points.
