Privacy

The short version: we collect only what you type into the waitlist or the wish list, we use it only to build and announce the Pickleorium app. This site sets no cookies.

Who we are

Pickleorium (pickleorium.com) is run by Align Strategies LLC, based in Florida, USA. To ask anything about your information, email cwil.designs@gmail.com.

What we collect, why, and on what basis

The app waitlist

What: your email address, when you joined, which page you joined from, and which version of the sign-up wording you agreed to.

Why: to email you when the app launches. Nothing else.

Basis: your consent, which you give by ticking the box. You can withdraw it at any time.

The wish list

What: the features you pick and what you write. If you choose to add them: your level, how often you play and your email.

Why: to decide what the app does first. An email you add is used only to ask you about that wish. It is never added to the waitlist.

Basis: our legitimate interest in building an app players want, and your consent for any email you add.

Your age

Joining the waitlist, you confirm that you're 13 or older. The wish list asks your age when you add an email. We use the answer only to check that you're old enough to send us your details (see "Children" below). We don't keep it. If the answer is under 13, nothing you typed is sent or kept.

The spam check

When you start using a form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person, not a bot, is sending it. To do that it processes your IP address and signals from your device and browser, under Cloudflare's own privacy policy. We receive only a pass or fail answer.

Basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the forms free of spam.

Technical details

Like every website, each visit sends the technical details that any web request carries, such as your IP address and browser type, to Cloudflare, which hosts the site. Cloudflare uses them to deliver the pages and protect the site, under its own privacy policy. Our own request logs are switched off, and we don't store these details with anything you send.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and measure page speed. Cloudflare says this service does not use cookies or local storage and does not track individual visitors across other websites. Like any web request, your IP address reaches Cloudflare; Cloudflare says it discards the address and does not store it in its logs for this service. We see totals and timings, not who you are.

What we don't collect

We don't ask for names, phone numbers or locations. If you type details like these into a wish, they're stored with it, so please leave them out; ask us and we'll delete them. No accounts, cookies or ads.

Who we share it with

Only these service providers, each for its own job:

  • Cloudflare hosts the site, stores what you send in its database service (D1), counts visits (Web Analytics) and runs the spam check. It may process the information in countries other than yours.
  • An email service will send our emails when we start sending them. It receives only the email addresses on the list. We'll name it here before the first email.

Otherwise we share your information only if the law requires it. We don't sell it or share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

  • Waitlist emails: until you leave the list, or 12 months after the app launches, whichever comes first.
  • Wishes: while the app is being built. An email you added to a wish is deleted when we no longer need to ask about it, and within 12 months at most.
  • Your age: not kept at all.
  • Backups: after we delete something, a copy can remain in Cloudflare's database backups for up to 30 days before it is gone for good.

Seeing, fixing or deleting your information

Email cwil.designs@gmail.com to see what we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, or to leave the waitlist. We delete your email from both the waitlist and the wish list, and we reply within 30 days. Every email we send you will also include a way to leave the list, and we act on it within 10 business days.

If you're in the EU or the UK, you also have the right to object and to complain to your local data protection authority.

Do Not Track

We don't track visitors across sites, so a browser's Do Not Track signal has nothing to switch off here. We treat every visit as if it's on.

Children

Pickleorium isn't meant for children. You must be 13 or older to join the waitlist or send us your email. When the wish list's age answer is under 13, nothing is sent or kept, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you think a child has sent us their email, tell us and we'll delete it.

What your browser keeps

  • Your light or dark choice, if you switch: it stays in your own browser's localStorage, under the key pk-theme.
  • An age answer under 13 on the wish list: for the rest of that visit, your browser's sessionStorage keeps the note pk-age so the forms stay closed. It's cleared when you close the tab.

Neither is ever sent anywhere.

Videos

Videos come from YouTube's privacy-enhanced player. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. After that, YouTube's own privacy policy applies.

Links to other sites

Links to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, Substack, Facebook, Bluesky and X take you to those services, and their own policies apply there. Our letters live on Substack.

Changes to this notice

If this notice changes, the date below changes too. If a change affects how we use your email, we'll tell you by email first.
